The only reason I can not fail as a mom is cause my kids are that great

I read this in an article that my daughter posted in my honor… and wow! I just had to copy this part and shift the writing just a bit…

“I’m sorry that there are days that I am not as loving and kind and caring as you have raised me to be. I’m sorry that there are days that I am angry at the whole world for no reason at all. But more than anything, I’m sorry that when those things happen, I allow myself to hurt you as a result of it as well. You have a bigger heart than I even knew there was enough room for in a single human body cavity, and to think that I could ever hurt you shatters mine entirely. So I hope you forgive me for the times that I am not loving and kind and caring, like the person I strive everyday to be.” Quoted from: Haylee Hillock’s Article – go there now to read the whole article.

To my Children I write it this way…
I’m sorry that there were days that I was not as loving and kind and caring as wanted to raise you to be. I’m sorry that there were days that I was angry at the whole world for no reason at all. But more than anything, I’m sorry that when those things happened, I allowed myself to hurt you as a result of it as well. I thank GOD that despite my own stumbling forward in life (I did not and will never again call myself a failure as a mother – for being a mother is not about succeeding and failing in some predetermined plot… Being a mom is about just that BEING a MOM – and without YOU I could not be one so thank you for being you and loving me back!) You have a bigger heart than I even knew there was enough room for in a single human body cavity, and to think that I could ever hurt you shatters mine entirely. So I hope you forgive me for the times that I am not loving and kind and caring, like the person we all desire everyday to be. Life is real and sometimes it’s even messy. But I would rather be alive in the mess with YOU as my child than to be alone in this world! Thank you for making me a MOM!!
